We found a mover to take our things to Cannes (American Mayflower), and they quoted us a price of $4480 for 1500 pounds. This came to almost $3 per pound! It was almost enough to make us get rid of the few things we have left! Fortunately, they called back a few days later and said they'd found a cheaper carrier -- only $3302 for 1500 pounds. Still expensive, but not as bad as we expected...
	
Anyway, we're having everything moved on the 21st of July, to get to Cannes by the end of August. We'll have to go for six weeks with nothing but what we're going to carry on to the airplane!
