This is just a note to say that we did finally receive our things from England. The day they arrived, it was gray, and about 50 degrees. We told the movers that people here have been complaining that it is the worst winter in 50 years. They thought it was very funny, and one of them said "It's like a sunny day in England!"
Our friend Barry has requested that we send him a Pain au Raisin. Unfortunately, by the time it got through customs, it probably wouldn't be any good, so this is the best we can do:

Lest you think we're cruel, Barry spends far more time in Paris than we do, and has eaten many more authentic Pains au Raisin...
